?1 CORINTHIANS 13.
[3] And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
[4] Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
[5]does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
[7]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
[8] Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
[13]And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
BELOVED OF GOD, peace be unto you.
God wants people’s attention to be drawn to this chapter, so they can read it everyday. So they may know and ask God for this heavenly love. There are other many beautiful gifts that are fruits of the Spirit, but without love all are useless.
Pilgrim to Canaa , here is the measure that shows who has really met Jesus Christ and has been clothed with His strength. If you have no love you have not started the pilgrimage yet, you are just escorting pilgrims who are in. Come to your Lord today.
1️⃣WHAT MAKES LOVE IMPORTANT (1Corinthians 13:1-3)
?The love in question here is not a grammatically correct language full of wisdom, God sees the motive behind our love, the holiness behind it, and the love of the truth involved. Love from the bottom of the heart, which manifests on a tongue void of hypocrisy, with complete faith and humble trust, God considers that as precious gold.
?No matter how sweet words can be, how good acts may be without the above mentioned traits, without the Spirit of Christ, they are useless even if the receiver is satisfied.
??Let us keep in mind that God is the One who holds the scale that measures it, He measures words or an act that is void of hypocrisy or selfishness, from a heart that loves God. Thinking you cannot perform an act of love without calling the media, means you are selfish and you don’t love your beneficiary. You have already received your reward, it is not recorded in the book of remembrance (I never knew you…)
2️⃣THE GREATNESS OF LOVE (1Corinthians 13:4-7)
?Love is a great enemy of the flesh. How beautiful would the world be if Christians had love!
Let us watch, examine ourselves and know if we really have love.
?You may think you love someone genuinely, but you will know how much you love them when they betray you (it bears and endures all things), when they talk behind your back… true love does not have its source from man, it is from God.
3️⃣LOVE DOES NOT FADE(1 Corinthians 13:8-13)
? The attribute that Christ appreciates most in man is charity (love) out of a pure heart. This is the fruit borne upon the Christian tree.(Manuscript 16,1892)
Love is a plant of heavenly origin, and if we would have it flourish in our hearts, we must cultivate it daily. Mildness, gentleness, long suffering, not being easily provoked, bearing all things, enduring all things,—these are the fruits upon the precious tree of love. (R&H, June 5, 1888)
?Love will never end, the redeemed will learn its mystery for eternity.??
➡All gifts from God are good, all the fruits of the Spirit are good, but LOVE is the greatest of all.
⚠Dear Brethren, it is easy to say that you love God, but first of all love your colleague, your neighbour…that you can see before loving God you have not seen. If there are people you have failed to love, you have not come to know God yet because God is love. The love we have seen here, is not about feelings or words, or good deeds from man that change according to the behavior of the loved one; no, the one we are talking about here is from sanctification, knowing and loving God, from selflessness not from seeking men’s praise and honors.
It is the one from God not from a sinner. The love of the Savior is measureless, let us ask Him daily for love.
