Onward, continue to read and study one chapter of the bible every day. prayerfully read the whole 1st Chapter of the book of ISAIAH.
? ISAIAH 1
[2] Hear me, you heavens! Listen, earth! For the LORD has spoken: “I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me
[3] The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”
[4] Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
[6] From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with olive oil.
[12] When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?
[13] Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations— I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.
[18] “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
[19] If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;
Beloved of God, happy day. Isaiah in Hebrew is called “Yesha’yahu” which means “the salvation ofJehovah”. Isaiah son of Amoz says ”Hear me, you heavens, Listen, earth,… that shows he is going to speak what is from heaven, and what will be approved by it. We will see how much we need salvation, and the prophecy about the Messiah who was to come. In Isaiah we will see clearly how the word of God was inspired by Him, given how the prophecy was fulfilled. Pilgrim, let us be together as the Lord will enable us to study this book. Let the Holy Spirit be our Leader.
1️⃣PEOPLE NEED SALVATION
?From verse 2-15, we see the great depravity, how people and their offspring left the Lord, but continued to follow godly ceremonies. God says I cannot bear those ceremonies, stop trampling my temple.
? The first chapter of Isaiah is a description of a people professedly serving God, but walking in forbidden paths (Manuscript 29, 1911). – 4BC 1137.3
➡️Pilgrim, stop looking at others, examine yourself and see if you are not the one being addressed. May be you go to church, give offerings, do good deeds, but your heart is lost into worldly lust, into hatred and divisions, into some habit that is only known to you… The Lord tells you today: ”Stop coming to trample my temple, I cannot bear your sacrifices and deeds.
2️⃣TURN AND REPENT
?From verse 16, God opens His arms wide for the sinners and says” Come now, let us settle the matter…“Though your sins are red like crimson… they shall be like wool.”
➡️God’s mercies are boundless, only the devil lies to the sinner that he no longer deserve pardon, that he is beyond limits, and he accepts that lie.
?On verse 18, it is God who calls us. Do not doubt or hesitate, He will receive you no matter how sinful you may be you will be forgiven, and you will have peace that flows like a river in your heart. Why would you choose eternal death while Jehovah’s salvation is free?
⚠️On this day that God sanctified and blessed and gave it to Adam and Even as well as to their offspring (Genesis 2:1-3), make a decision to repent from your sins and give them up. Christ will help you to do that. God says “ If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.(Isaiah 1:19). Stand in the promise.
?DEAR GOD, WE HAVE UNDERSTOOD THAT WE NEED YOU, ACCEPT US, FORGIVE OUR SINS, AND GIVE US A NEW LIFE THAT IS SECURED IN CHRIST.?
