? 1 CORINTHIANS 2
[1]And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
[2]For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
[4] And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
[5] that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
[9] But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
[11] For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
[13] These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
[14] But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Beloved of God, peace be unto you.
Is worldly wisdom useful in God’s service? It is but alone it is useless concerning salvation. Whatever you do ask for the power of the Spirit. Seek those things which have eternal value.
1️⃣LET THOSE WHO SPEAK NOT FOCUS ON THEMSELVES BUT SPEAK OF CHRIST CRUCIFIED
? Though Paul was eloquent and a smart learned person, he did not rely on that, he had understood that the highest wisdom given to us is the one that makes people grow in humility, increases thirst for learning more; because as you learn your mind gets more involved in learning about Jesus. That is the kind of wisdom Paul relied on it is learning and preaching about Christ crucified, that is the wisdom that leads us to salvation freely given to us.
➡Quite often a certain teacher may deceive himself into thinking that he knows everything, no way, let the devil not deceive you even Paul who received visions continued to learn.
2️⃣IN THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT, NOT IN HUMAN WISDOM
?Having a roman citizenship, and having been taught by the smartest people did not get Paul out of darkness, until when he met Jesus and knew that he needed to reach the highest level of everlasting things.
??♂️ Remember when he was in Athens, arguing with his fellow wise men, he did not earn the victory that transforms hearts. He acknowledged that he needed power above human’s, wisdom above that which is gained from schools, but which comes from being led by the Spirit of God, so that a sinner may be fully transformed.
? Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him, who rely on his power and wisdom.
3️⃣SPIRITUAL THINGS ARE EXPLAINED BY THE SPIRT
? ☆The truth from the word of God has a great value to the humble, who trust in Christ; but to those who rely on the wisdom of the world, to a carnal man, it is foolishness.
The law of ten commandments is not to be looked upon as much from the prohibitory side as from the mercy side. Its prohibitions are the sure guarantee of happiness in obedience.
☆ As received in Christ, it works in us the purity of character that will bring joy to us through eternal ages. (6BC 1085.5).
The law is an expression of God’s idea. When we receive it in Christ, it becomes our idea. (Letters 96,1896).
➡This makes you seek the strength given by Christ, trusting Him as the One who was crucified for you becomes hands that receive salvation God gives to you freely.
⚠Dear Brethren, the purpose of this chapter is to learn and speak about Jesus Christ crucified, seeking wisdom of things that will last forever, transforms you and others. Human strength, whatever gifts man can possess, we have found those to be useless without heavenly power given by the Holy Spirit. Let those who glory, glory in Christ crucified.
?Say” CHRIST REMOVE SELF FROM ME, AND FILL ME”.?
